Eyebrow Waxing

Eyebrow waxing removes all of the unwanted hair around your eyebrow area. The wax I use is hot wax, which is gentle on sensitive areas. However, if you use face products with retinol then please do not have eyebrow waxing as this can cause extra sensitivities to your skin. You also cannot have waxing if you have taken Roaccutane within the last 6 months. Please contact me if you are taking any medication or not sure about the skincare you are using and I can check prior to your appointment.

Eyebrow & Eyelash Tinting

Eyelash and eyebrow tinting gives you definition and can save you time with your makeup routine as you wont need to use mascara or fill your brows in each morning. They are perfect treatments for when you go on holiday too as you wont need to worry when sunbathing or when in the water. Also perfect for those who are regular swimmers!

There are various shades available which is ideal for when having your eyebrows tinted as not everyone will need or suit having darker eyebrows. I can also build the colour up as we go until we reach your desired look. For eyelashes I tend to use the darkest black tint because most people want their eyelashes to really stand out, however if you would prefer brown to be used then that would be fine. I will go through this when you arrive for your appointment with you anyway.

Lash Lift & Tint

I also offer Eyelash Lifting and Tinting – this is a fab treatment (it’s the same as LVL which you may have heard of, but that’s just a brand). This treatment gently lifts the eyelashes upwards which really opens up your eyes (rather than a permed curl) and this effect makes them appear longer. This treatment also includes tinting both the upper and lower lashes and this really makes them pop. Your lashes will be left looking thicker, longer and darker. You can use mascara after having this treatment however most people wouldn’t need to as it looks so good!

For any tinting or lifting treatments you will need a patch test. Patch tests are not chargeable and they are very quick. You will need one at least 48 hours prior to your treatment and you can book this in on my online booking system.

Eyelash Extensions

As I now specialise in waxing & nail treatments I no longer offer eyelash extension services.

I have many enquiries about eyelash extensions so thought I would explain here about the different types of eyelash extensions that are available and also recommend some local eyelash technicians for you to contact.

Strip Lashes - these come on a strip & you buy these on the high street & apply at home. They attach to your eyelid & need to be taken off after 24 hours.

Cluster/Party/Individual Lashes - these are a 'cluster' of around 5 lashes attached to a bulb. They last around 5 days & should be professionally applied & removed as they are attached to your natural eyelashes. They also confusingly get called individual lashes, but they are not individual.

Express Lashes - these use the same adhesive & single eyelashes as semi-permanent eyelash extensions. They are placed next to each other on top of the natural eyelashes. They must be applied & removed by a professional to avoid lash damage. They last 2-3 weeks & only take around 45 mins to apply. The cost reflects the time taken and they look similar to same as semi-permanent lashes.

Semi-Permanent Eyelash Extensions/Classic Lashes - can be known also as single lash extensions or individual eyelash extensions. They must be applied & removed professionally. One natural eyelash is isolated, a single false lash is placed on top. They take around 2 hours to apply & the cost should reflect this. You can have infills every 2-3 weeks as they grow out with your natural lashes.

Russian/Volume Lashes - these are the most expensive type of eyelash extension. They last 3-4 weeks and are similar to semi-permanent eyelash extensions. The difference is the lash tech will make a 'fan' out of 2-6 false eyelashes and attach this fan onto one of your natural eyelashes, giving you a really full look.

If you are going for eyelash extensions applied by a professional then you must ensure they patch test you for your safety. You do not want an allergic reaction around your eyes and all true professionals who care about their clients and their business, and those following their insurance stipulations, will insist on a patch test.
