Here at Shore Beauty I want you to have the best experience.
From easy online booking, to free & convenient parking to having a fab treatment & feeling amazing as you walk out
of the door.
Once you have booked your appointment you will be sent an electronic consultation form and if I have any queries regarding this I will speak to you either beforehand or when you are at your appointment. I will always discuss your treatment & confirm before we start. At the end or during your treatment I will advise on aftercare so you get the most from your treatment and if you have any questions then please feel free to ask at any time.

You have exclusive use of Shore Beauty & my expertise while you are visiting for your treatment.

I am based off Main Road in Boreham, near The Lion Inn and Boreham House.
This means Shore Beauty is within easy reach of Boreham, Hatfield Peverel, Chelmsford, Little Baddow, Great Baddow, Sandon, Howe Green, Broomfield, Maldon, Danbury, Terling, Witham, Braintree & surrounding areas.

Shore Beauty - Location Details

My salon operates from a cabin at my house. Because of this I will contact you within 24 hours of your appointment to confirm your attendance & my address.

You can park on my driveway, however while you are visiting me I take no responsibility for your vehicle or belongings. You can also park on the road, again I take no responsibility for your vehicle or belongings.

Arriving for your appointment:

If you are 10-15 mins early please feel free to text me and if I can see you straight away then I will.

I'd be really grateful if you could wait until your appointment time before knocking on the cabin door - I will either be with another client or preparing for your appointment & I do not have a waiting room.

I offer appointments Monday to Saturday including evenings (Monday and Wednesday) so you should find an appointment to suit you on my online booking system however if you can't then please message me and I will see what I can do to schedule you in at a convenient time.

If you book an appointment and then can't make it please let me know via text or email at least 48 hours before. Thank you.

PLEASE WEAR A MASK TO YOUR APPOINTMENT

During your appointment:

Appointments are carried out professionally and hygienically. If you wish to use hand sanitizer then it is there for your convenience. I wear gloves for all treatments as well as wearing a mask (I have always worn gloves due to hygiene and skin sensitivities, not due to covid) .

I would be grateful if you wear a mask to your appointment. I will ask you to remove your mask for lip/chin waxing once you are on the couch & ready for the wax to begin.

The couch, nail desk, chairs, card reader, door handle etc are all disinfected between clients.

I have blinds for total privacy on the windows and a curtain for privacy when getting changed for waxing.

Shore Beauty Cancellation, Reschedule and Late Policy

This policy is effective from 1 April 2020 and can be updated at any necessary time by me, Amy (owner of Shore Beauty).

Cancellations:

If you cancel your appointment with less than 24 hours notice, you will be charged 50% of your treatment cost. If you do not pay this, it will be added on to your next treatment cost or you will be refused any further treatments.

Rescheduling

If you need to reschedule your appointment then you are welcome to do so and will not incur any charges if you move it before 24 hours prior to the appointment. If you reschedule within 24 hours then you will be charged 50% of your treatment cost. If you do not pay this, it will be added on to your next treatment cost or you will be refused any further treatments.

Lateness

If you are more than 5 minutes late for your appointment your appointment will be cancelled and you will be charged 50% of your treatment cost. If you do not pay this, it will be added on to your next treatment cost or you will be refused any further treatments.

No Show:

If you do not show to your appointment you will refused future appointments.

Shore Beauty Privacy Policy

I take security of personal data seriously here at Shore Beauty. This privacy policy sets out how I use & protect any information that you, as a client, gives me, Amy Bryant, through my salon Shore Beauty.

This policy is effective from 1 January 2018 and can be updated at any necessary time by me, Amy (owner of Shore Beauty). It complies with the General Data Protection Regulation and the previous Data Protection Act 1998.

When you are a client of Shore Beauty, I will only ask you for information which I genuinely need in order to provide you with a service. Unless legally obliged to, I will not share your information with anyone.. This privacy policy applies to my use of any and all data collected by me in relation to the treatment you have booked and I aim to make the use of your data clear and transparent.

Data requested from you:

When you book a treatment at Shore Beauty you will only be asked relevant personal information via my online booking system (which is GDPR compliant) or by myself over the phone, or text message.
When booking, by any way, the only personal data required are your full name, phone number and email address. This is so you can be contacted if necessary to amend your appointment and to send the automatic confirmations and reminders via the online booking system.
Your personal data is never shared with anybody else.
All booking data is kept securely online via Ovatu (my online booking provider)
Wix (my website provider) hold the email addresses of those who subscribe to my email marketing
Consultation forms are kept on site in a locked cabinet.
No other person has access to any information.
I use Paypal and Sumup for taking card payments. These do not store card details and if you wish to have a receipt you provide your email address or mobile number at the time but this information is not stored.

When you come for your first treatment you will be asked to complete a consultation form. This will require your name, contact telephone number, email address & town (not full address). It will also have a option to consent to marketing emails via your provided email address. If you consent to subscribe to marketing emails you can unsubscribe at any time, each email will always have an unsubscribe button. Your email address will not be passed on to any third company or shared with anybody else, none of your data will.

You will be required to disclose any illness, medication, allergy or contra-indication for the purpose of keeping you safe during your treatment. This information will never be shared or accessed by anybody else other than Amy at Shore Beauty. Personal data is secured as per the law and disposed of as per the law.

I require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons - internal record keeping, reminding you of your appointment, giving you salon information before your first appointment and if you consent to email marketing I will send promotional emails about new products, special offers or other information which I think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided - only if you have given written consent.

Controlling your personal information

You may choose to restrict the collection or use of your personal information by:

if you have previously agreed to me using your personal information for direct marketing purposes, you may change your mind at any time by emailing me at shore-beauty@hotmail.com or unsubscribing using the link in every marketing email you receive.
I will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties. If you believe that any information I hold on you is incorrect or incomplete, please email me as soon as possible at the above address or let me know at your next appointment. I will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.
Under the GDPR you have a right to ask for a "subject access request" - a copy of your personal data held by me. I am happy to provide you with such information. You can request that I delete the data held on you, though I may have to retain data for a certain length of time for legal purposes
I have to keep data for 3 years. This is set by my insurance provider.
