DIY?

I'm not usually one to 'guess' when it comes to anything but I am 'guessing' here that most people prefer to have professional beauty services throughout their wedding planning/wedding day rather than DIY-ing.

Are you a DIY-er? What made your choose to do it yourself? Do you feel confident that you can create photo-worthy make-up on the day? Do you feel that you can paint the perfect set of nails? Can you curl your hair properly so it stays in all day or create that amazing up-do?

Or are you all for having a make-up artist, hairdresser and nail tech on board? I am definitely interested in how many brides are willing to go it alone with their treatments for their wedding day and likewise how many brides see it as an essential. Please do let me know!
