Exfoliating & Moisturising

Ingrown hairs can be caused by having dry skin; dry skin prevents hairs from breaking onto the surface of the skin. The first thing I always recommend is exfoliating. This will remove dead skin cells that are on the surface of your skin. Dead skin cells cause your skin to look dull & using a body scrub will ensure you have smooth, brighter skin. This helps to combat dry skin, reduces the risk of ingrown hairs, reduces inflammation of ingrown hairs that are there already & it can lifts hairs that are laying flat to the skin (this means less tweezing at your appointments!).

Alongside exfoliating, you also need to be moisturising daily to keep your skin in tip top condition. This is something me, & most of my clients, fail to do even though it only takes a minute or so every day!!
